IAEA lança novo material de medicina nuclear para download

The IAEA has recently published the Nuclear Medicine Physics Handbook, which is intended for teachers, students and residents involved in medical physics programmes, and aspiring to serve as primary text for academic education and clinical training of Nuclear Medicine Medical Physicists in the IAEA Member States. The handbook provides a comprehensive overview of the knowledge required in physics, instrumentation and data processing for the practice of medical physics in modern nuclear medicine.

Now additional training material, in the form of teaching slides, has been developed for each chapter of the handbook. They have been designed for teachers and students, as an additional training tool to assist in the better presentation of the content of each chapter. You can download the PDF version of the slides or register to obtain the Power Point version.

Those of you involved with internal dosimetry might be interested in the IAEA Radiotracer Biodistribution Template (IAEA-RaBiT) – a free resource for (organ level) radionuclide dosimetry research and applications. The IAEA-RaBiT is a standard-format template that can be used to organize biodistribution information within a centre, reporting it in publications, and support high throughput dosimetry protocols. We hope it will enable the development of advanced dosimetry processing tools that can be shared easily throughout the community. It is freely available for download/use, created as a community resource.
